Two years ago, a crack squad of the Sun Guard’s Human Intervention Division was sent to prison by the Faerie Court for a crime they didn’t commit. These woodland creatures promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Faerie Realm underground.

Today, still wanted by the Sun Guard, they survive as freelancers. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire… The Fae Team.

The Fae Team is a role-playing game inspired by The A-Team television show, but puts the players in the roles of skunks, weasels, frogs, etc. and gives them magical powers before sending them through a gargoyle-generated portal into the human world to solve problems.  As one does.

Moonlight Express is a 2-page adventure that sends the Fae Team to a small town in the middle of Halloween festivities. There they must determine the cause of recent “hauntings” and - if it’s a faerie - haul it back to the Faerie Realm!

The Moonlight Express Story Guide Manual is a detailed write-up of Moonlight Express as an introductory adventure. It’s designed for new Story Guides, or anyone else looking for extra instruction when it comes to running a Fae Team adventure.

The Moonlight Express Play Example showcases one way Moonlight Express could play out from the perspective of a group using the Story Guide Manual. It includes some of the Story Guide’s internal monologue so the reader can gain insight into how they are making decisions during the game.

The Fae Team is also available for online play through the Role virtual tabletop platform.  Purchasing the game here grants you a key code to get the version at Role. You can claim your key via the Download page and redeem it through the Role code redemption page.

A review of The Fae Team is available at TTRPGkids.com.

An actual play based on Moonlight Express is available as Episode 18 of the Almost Bedtime Theater podcast.

Thank you so much for the librarian copies! It can be hard to find games that are appropriate for kids, encourage writing, and are affordable on a public school assistant librarian salary. Your donation is a huge help, so thank you. I know you’ll make many of my kids happy.

You’re welcome!

I’ve also downloaded this one.  I’m going to look at your other games, as well, because I’m feeling good at the chance of adding more kid friendly things to my collection. I’m trying to essentially make a journaling library so then can pick what they want to write about.  Thank you for having education copies!

I got the code but now every time I try to use it at Role it says "this code is invalid".

But more importantly, THANK YOU for your generosity and being a part of the Trans Rights in Florida bundle!

Oh no! Can you please reach out to me at almostbedtimetheater (at) gmail.com with the code you received?

Great game!  I tried it out with my kid, and it was a lot of fun running a woodland animal heist - lots of mischief, and I love the A Team references!

Check out my full review here, and I hope you try it out too!
